If stored in dry place and kept packaged (at the Product description : Products HY-708 Organic Bentonite Product features: HY-708 is a kind of highly purified, remodeled and organically modified bentonite of which the raw material is natural calcium bentonite. It is mainly used in low and medium polar solvents, such as paints, inks and other products. It has the following features: (1) easy to disperse: under the effect of appropriate amount of polar activator, HY-708 has fast speed of dispersion and gelation, and small dispersing fineness. (2) anti-sediment: HY-708 has the property of anti-sediment in the system. Appearance and physicochemical indexes: Appearance White power Loss on ignition 29 ~ 32% Fihneness,76un(200mesh) ≥95% Moisture content 0.8 ~ 3.5% Viscosity ≥20Pa?s Use method: HY-708 can disperse at normal temperature.It is better to be used as pre-gel.It should be added before grinding your products( such as paints, pigments, coatings etc.).To get the best dispersion effect, it is best to use high-shearing device. HY-708 needs polar activator to be fully disperse.The available polar activators are as follows:propylene carbonate,methanollwater(95/5),ethanol/water (95/5)or acetone.The proper amount of polar activator can be adjusted according to different systems.Generally, the amount of polar activator is 30-50% of organic bentonite. Application: □ordinary paint and mill base □ink □adhesive □industrial paint □anti-corrosion paint □marine paint Dosage: The amount of HY-708 is usually 0.2-3.0% of the system(by weight). Package and storage: The package consists of external package(kraft paper bag)and internal package(polyethylene film bag).The valve bag is also available and the weight is usual!y 25 ± 0.25Kg.The package can also be customized. If stored in dry place and kept packaged (at the temperature of 0°C-3 0 °C)，the organic bentonite is effective within 36 months.
