Properties: It is bottle-green powder. Specific gravity: 126g/cm3. Melting point ≥ 83°C. It is soluble in chloroform, benzene, carbon disulfide; slightly soluble in acetone and ethanol; insoluble in water and gasoline. Stable for storage.
Functions: NBC can be used as an antiozonant for CR, CSPR, ECO, SBR, NBR, etc. In CR, it can improve the thermal resistance of rubber, and reduce the discoloration under the sun, and it can slightly retard the vulcanization. It is a kind of thermal stabilizer in CSPR vulcanized by metal oxide. In SBR, it has good protective character to ozone, weather, aging, crazing and flexing, but it has no oxidation resistance, so it should be used together with good antioxidant. It can easily disperse in rubber and make the rubber green, but is pollution-free. Normal dosage is 1-2 phr in CR and 0.5-3 phr in SBR.
