Triammonium Phosphate

Properties: colorless transparent flake or white rhombic crystal, easy soluble in water and its aqueous solution is slightly alkaline or weak alkaline; slightly soluble in dilute ammonia and insoluble in liquid ammonia, unstable in propanone, ethanol and aether. Loss two molecules of ammonia to form monoammonium phosphate if heating aqueous solution, partly loss ammonia if exposed to air.
Uses: It is a kind of high-concentration nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer, used as germination promoter for sugar cane, flame retardant for wood, water softener, cultivating agent for living things, analytic reagent, etc.
