The daily chemical industry is an important sector of quick consumables. With the improvement of people’s living standard, the consumption of daily chemicals in the Chinese market with a population of over one billion is making a rapid growth. The daily chemical market with the cropping up of new products has led to an unprecedented growth of daily chemical ingredients in the world. According to experts, the demand of natural products in advanced countries such as the United States will have a rapid growth in the next few years. Anti-aging skin-care products and natural ingredients have offered strong support to the demand growth. Active ingredients for cosmetics will continue to lead the development trend of special raw materials. It is expected that the annual demand growth of active ingredients including vitamins, plant extracts and polysaccharides will be more than 5% in 2009. A new opportunity of innovation and development will therefore be provided to suppliers of raw materials and especially producers of special chemicals.
