Physicochemical Properties

Purity of Bromacil is colourless crystal solid M.P. 158~159℃ ; V.P. 0.033mPa (25℃)。

Solubility(25℃)815mg/l in water; 96g/kg 0.9M in NaOH, 201g/kg in acetone, 77 g/kg in

acetonitrile, 155 g/kg in ethanol, 33 g/kg in toluene . It is stable below M.P. ,and it

can be decomposed by strong acid。the formulation for water-solubility couldn抰 mix with

toluene.The salt with calcium may cause deposit。

Toxicology

Acute oral LD505200mg/kg for rats . Acute percutaneous for rabbits LD50 >5000mg/kg: slightly

stimulation to the skin of young guinea pig,no stimulation to grow up guinea pig. Acute

inhalation for rats LD50>4.8mg/l。In 2-y feeding trials NOEL:250mg/kg diet for rats and

dogs, LD50 (96h)10000mg/l for mallard and quail。Sunfish 71mg/l;rainbow trout 75mg/l;carp 164mg/l。

Application

no selective systemic herbicide,Control of commonaly ruderal with 5~15kg AI/ha, Control of annual

and perennial ruderal with 2~4kg/ha, Control of annual and perennial ruderal in special organge

garden with 1.6-3.2kg/ha;Control of many years ruderal with 3.2~8.0kg/ha;1.8~5.5 kg/ha in

pineapple.Its effect may keep more than one season in high dosage.
