Yunnan Lancang Lead Ore Co., Ltd. is invested and established together by Yunnan Metallurgy Group Controlling Company and Kunming Metallurgy Research Institute. It was established in December 16, 2005 with total assets of 524 million Yuan. Now our company has 1,756 employees and our yearly capacity of each products are as follows: electric electrolytic zinc of 20,000 tons, white silver of 300,000 tons, electric furnace zinc of 1,000 tons, lignite of 100,000 tons and sulphur of 13,000 tons. Our company headquarters lies in the Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Simao City--the important strategic border area of southwest Yunnan, it closes to the border trade ports of Burma, Laos and Thailand and the Lancang River, a golden watercourse with the title of "East Danube".

Our company's predecessor Yunnan Lancang Lead Ore was established in 1955, and in 1989, it was elected as the national second-class enterprise. It is located at the "Three-river Metallogenic Belt" of Yunnan, so it has advantaged mineral resources. Our enterprise's own raw material site--the Xiongshi mountain of old factory has 6.5 million tons geological reserve of rich silver, lead and zinc mineral deposit. In addition, we have several independent and proprietary mines all around the company with a geological reserve of over millions of tons.

With self-invented and developed world-leading "Pressure Leaching Technology of Zinc Sulfide Ferrate Concentrates", we made an investment of 2.4 billion RMB in the construction of electric zinc factory in the year 2007, which has laid a solid basis for the long-term development of the company.

During the "Eleventh Five-year Plan" period, our company will take the chance of establishing and perfecting the modern enterprise system as the turning point; depending on our group's advantages of capital, technology, talents and management and our self-invented " pressure leaching technology of zinc sulfide ferrate concentrates" (owning the independent intellectual property), we will invest nearly 400 million Yuan for carrying out 10 great scientific research technological transformation and production construction projects. At the same time, we will cooperate with the provincial scientific research universities and colleges in order to fulfill the project about the research of metal ore deposit three dimensional positioning predication and mineral resource reserve, such as the silver, lead & zinc ore. In the north of our own mine, it newly increases 500,000 tons of lead and zinc reserves and 1,000 tons of silver reserves. And we will do the research on the reutilization of ore tailing and slaking slag. At the beginning of the "Twelfth Five-year Plan" period, our company will strive for forming the yearly capacity of 80,000 tons of electric lead & zinc and 100 tons of silver, with an annual sales value reaching 1 billion RMB and profit payments and tax turnover 100 million RMB. By then, the company will become the biggest silver, lead & zinc ore smelting base in the southwestern Yunnan.

Our business scope: exploitation, ore dressing and smelting of heavy nonferrous metals, production and sales of the electric lead, electric zinc, silver, indium, cadmium, gallium, solid sulfur, copper scale, lead and silver ash, sulfur finished ore, ferric sulfate, ferroalloy, lignite and limestone.
